Court Ordered Name Change

A court order is required to change your legal name. The only exception to a court ordered name change is when you marry, at which time you can take your marriage certificate to any agency you wish to have your name changed with. For all other occasions, a court order is required. We prepare all of the required court documents and take care of filing your documents at the court for you as well.

Please note that if you are changing the name of a minor, you must either petition jointly with the child’s other biological parent or have them served with your petition for name change.
